Maintain the light level
Choose the lumen output and beam you need, then reduce the power used per bulb.
Commercial lighting · Multi-point projects
Replace 10, 60 or 100+ light points with the right output — and lower the energy used at every point.
Choose the lumen output and beam you need, then reduce the power used per bulb.
Estimate energy and cost savings across every light point before ordering.
Keep socket, colour temperature, beam angle and dimming consistent across the installation.

Estimated annual project saving
€3,094 10,315 kWh less electricity per yearThis example applies to directional GU10 spotlight replacement. Estimates depend on operating hours, electricity tariffs and the actual lamps being replaced. Confirm lumen output, beam angle and fixture compatibility before ordering.
The main result above compares the GY directional GU10 spotlight with the existing GU10 spotlight wattage you entered. The example below separately compares the 2.9W Class A spotlight with a typical 5.5W Class F GU10 spotlight to show how the higher purchase price can be recovered through lower electricity use.
| Directional GU10 comparison | Power | Useful flux | Flux ÷ power | EU ηTM | Rated life | Example unit price | Annual electricity cost |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| GY GU10 Class A LED spotlight | 2.9W | 520 lm | ≈179 lm/W | ≈211 lm/W | Up to 50,000 h | €2.09 | €3.18 |
| Class F GU10 LED spotlight reference | 5.5W | ≈470 lm | ≈85 lm/W | ≈100 lm/W | 25,000 h reference | €0.80 | €6.02 |
At 60 spotlights, 10 hours/day and €0.30/kWh, the example price premium is recovered in approximately 5.4 months. A 50,000-hour rated life corresponds to approximately 13.7 years at this daily usage.
For a mains-voltage directional light source, EU energy labelling uses total mains efficacy ηTM = (useful luminous flux ÷ on-mode power) × FTM, with FTM = 1.176. For the GY spotlight: 520 lm ÷ 2.9W × 1.176 ≈ 211 lm/W (approximately 210 lm/W after declared-value rounding). The unadjusted flux-to-power ratio is approximately 179 lm/W. Annual electricity cost per spotlight = watts ÷ 1,000 × hours per day × 365 × electricity price. Simple energy payback = example purchase-price premium ÷ annual electricity-cost saving. The Class F spotlight, price, output and life figures are comparison assumptions, not a quote or a guarantee. Total lumens alone do not establish equivalent directional performance: compare beam angle, centre-beam intensity, colour temperature and fixture conditions. Results exclude installation, maintenance, taxes and tariff changes. Actual lifetime depends on operating conditions.
